Category Manager
Reporting to the Director of Procurement, the Category Manager will play an integral role in a variety of strategic sourcing initiatives.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION:
·Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of relevant supply markets, proactively scout for new suppliers.
·Develop and implement regional sourcing strategies, utilizing state of the art sourcing practices and anticipate market evolutions
·Manage sourcing initiatives (from demand analysis to contract implementation) incl. preparation and leading of supplier negotiations
·Support global sourcing initiatives and projects (from demand analysis to contract implementation)
·Support country sourcing initiatives and projects (from demand analysis to contract implementation)
·On-going contract management and follow-up on major projects
·Conduct regular benchmarking and performance/risk evaluations of strategic global suppliers and establish corresponding improvement plans
·Establish and manage good working relationships with business partners on a global level (communication about savings, supply markets, contracts, complaint handling …)

·Drive corporate standardization, providing on-going support to country and corporate stakeholders
·Internal reporting and monitoring of benefits and compliance figures via internal procurement tools
·Support of compliance management by promotion of supplier contracts, supplier catalogs and use of Purchase Orders
·Develop cluster/category specific expertise, knowledge and trainings for the virtual category team
·Support for sourcing initiatives of other regions and cross-regional knowledge sharing
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
·Sourcing and category management
·Americas, global experience preferred
·Bachelors
·English and Spanish speaking, writing, and reading
·High level of experience with sourcing strategies
·High level of experience with spend, contract, and supplier management
·Medium level of experience engaging business partners
