Logistics Coordinator

Valencia - Spain

Role purpose

This role is meant to support our Customer Finished Vehicle Logistics department in regards to:

? Monitoring the logistic activities of the European production to dealers, compounds and ports

? Create performance analysis in order to monitor the delivery of contracted freight forwarders

? Compilation of statistics / indicators (performance reports), including an assessment of the supply chain,

? Maintenance of the systems used (master data maintenance, routes, lead time, etc.)

In order to derive to accurate and reliable tender, planning and costing outputs, it is of great significance to carefully assess and manipulate the various data input and / or quotes from carriers. Creativity in regards to find the best solution / carrier for the required transports, to find assumptions to be able to reflect future network changes and an ability to present results in an adequate manner to the customer are of high importance. 

Key Accountabilities

• Creation of plant and market forecasts

• Creation of action plans and ad hoc reports

• Monitoring of daily stocks and advance planning based on forecast data

• Handling of stop-ship actions: analyze the locations for the affected units, pronouncing the Stop Shipments to all involved parties within the network, Tracking and control of rework, Immediate release after the rework

• Plant-support activities in launch phase: creation of launch reports, separate tracking of the launched units, support for paging and monitoring actions

• Initiate tenders for special transports

• Creation of Non-Production Days overviews based on the current production program

• Monitoring of the transport companies used for the purpose of quality assurance and process optimization

• Inventory monitoring on the European hubs to ensure an on-time delivery and a smooth operation

• Documentation of all transactions and inquiries

• Responses to inquiries (internal and external) in regards to delivery status of vehicles

• Compilation of statistics / indicators (performance reports), including an assessment of the supply chain,

• Maintenance of the systems used (master data maintenance, routes, lead time, etc.)

• Creation of volume Forecast for specific Carriers to maintain network stability

• Calculating oncost/savings of received indicative rates by the carrier to support in volume peaks

Requirements for the job

• Team player

• Willingness and ability to communicate and collaborate with customers, colleagues and supervisors

• Good communication skills; good listener

• Ability to demonstrate analytical and logical thinking; data manipulation skills are essential to this role

• Good written and spoken English is essential and other European languages desirable

• Willingness to take responsibility

• Able to cope with criticism

• Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and the ability to react quickly and calmly within a demanding environment

• Highly motivated

• Vocational training as a shipping clerk in connection with several years of professional experience

• A high degree of computer literacy, with knowledge of Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

• Experience in automotive sector is desirable but not essential
