Head Of Account
Role purpose:
Leadership of the account to orchestrate the customer's supply chain through an effective customer partnership.
Responsible for the building, leading, developing and motivating a world class account team.
To drive Value Creation across the customer supply Chain unlocking value for the customer and DHL.
To ensure service excellence through a culture of continuous improvement and an engaged team.
To lead and continue to develop a strategic programme of change for the customer (spanning transport, warehouse, packing services) to support customer strategic and business objectives together with supporting the development of the LLP product.
Key Tasks:
Build and maintain strong working relationships within the customers business to ensure all targets are met
Develop/achieve agreed budget, revenue and profit
Review and Manage Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) to meet contractual terms and DHL expectations
Develop effective plans for business and development of customer account
Create a culture of continuous improvement• Create and maintain a positive working environment
Change management leadership, coaching and developing employees
To ensure adherence of DHL tools; methodologies, governance and standards for the purposes of implementation
Responsibility for all issues relating to Health & Safety and the Environment
Team building and succession planning
Ensure adherence to Company policies and procedures
Ensure effective communication mechanisms exist within team and with all stakeholders
Review effectiveness of planning, operational, and IT teams to ensure that quality of service delivery is maintained; continuous improvement is clearly demonstrable and cost-down targets are achieved
Ensure the customer's diverse business units are managed and serviced in terms of their logistics requirements.
Requirements.
5 Years senior management experience within operations in Supply Chain and temperature control (warehouse and transport)
LLP/4PL Experience at leadership levels an advantage (size, scope & effectiveness)
At least 5 years experience Senior Account Management experience (customer facing)
Operations management with P&L responsibility (strong business and commercial acumen)
Effective organisation skill with ability to manage delivery of activities through multiple stakeholders
A proven change leader with a highly self motivated mind-set for excellence & innovation
Knowledge of sector customer trends and needs
Responsibility for a team spread throughout Europe
Requires strong cultural awareness/interface skills
Requires 25% National / International travel
Logistics Professional Qualifications
University degree National & International
