Customer Solutions & Innovation (CSI) is DHL's cross-divisional commercial and innovation unit. We are responsible for managing about 100 of DHL's largest and most strategically important customers providing them with sector expertise, best in class account management and most innovative products & solutions.
The Specialist Events Management (m/f/x) supports and drives the delivery of virtual customer conferences and virtual events across all industry sectors and Innovation. Activities include the planning, execution and controlling of virtual platforms, event flows and improvements of virtual formats. Skills in Video editing and a good feel for branding and visualization are also welcome.
Management of Events
·Role Focus: Support and execute virtual DHL events including virtual sector conferences, Virtual Engagements and Webinars across all sectors
·Support of physical events, when applicable.
·Responsible for support and management of an event, end-to-end, or own selected work streams within a larger project organization
·Support DHL representation at trade fairs E2E, in alignment and in coordination with internal stakeholders
·If necessary, be present on site for virtual & physical events to steer efforts, vendors and internal parties and ensure flawless execution
Overall Event Logistics
·Conduct location/ venue search based on a high level briefing;
·Check technical setup for streams and platform needs
·Prepare and setup virtual platforms and tools
·Review Video recordings and create ready to use files and combine content with clear briefings
Overall Event Operations
·Prepare and initiate invitation and registration management
·Determine branding and collateral needs, work with graphic support & agencies on developing and printing relevant material
Building and Enhancing Event Mgt Function, Processes and Tools
·Leverage best practices and resources
·Provide continuity in terms of virtual event formats
·BS/BA in related discipline and 2-4 years’ experience in related field or MS/MA and generally 1-2 years’ experience
·At least 1-2 years of international work experience in Events Management/ Marketing/ Consultancy and experience with event management software
·Extensive knowledge and understanding of event planning and management of conferences (physical and virtual)
·Basic skills in video editing
·Basic knowledge of graphic creation and editing
·Excellent English skills both written and verbal
·Advanced Microsoft Office skills
·Good project management skills, critical thinking, strong organizational skills and accuracy
·Self/motivated team player with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
·Excellent meeting facilitation, presentation and communication skills. Strong understanding of marketing tactics and planning processes
·Engaged and demonstrate exceptional positive attitude
