DHL Corporate Real Estate is a well-established team of property professionals in both commercial, surveying and construction.  The department is responsible for maintaining the existing Nordics and Baltics portfolio of buildings as well as new acquisitions, disposals, new builds and fit outs.

The overall purpose of the role is to provide input to and lead the implementation of construction management strategy to deliver real estate construction solutions for new build, refurbishment and re-construction projects in line with business strategy and objectives, corporate guidelines and policies.

Your tasks will be:
•Provide input to define construction management strategy in line with business strategy and objectives, corporate guidelines and policies 
•Lead construction negotiations in the region and will make decision on critical project decisions together with stakeholders group, will need to justify and prepare change requests background and rationale 
•Lead preparation and execution of construction management plans, measures and budgets 
•Lead planning and delivery of complex construction projects including new build, refurbishment and re-construction projects ensuring on time and within budget results
•Interpret customer requirements, recommend solutions and consult to provide value-engineering during solution development phase to determine the best option for the client 
•Drive the collation, analysis and preparation of construction related documents 
•Define construction needs, team requirements for project execution (CRE, third parties, etc.) and lead the tendering process 
•Lead the preparation of requests for proposals/ quotations (RFP/RFQ)
•Review key milestones and provide project management during construction phase of complex projects including timing, budgeting, quality control, information sharing, organization and communication development
•Manage and periodically review performance and service standards of third-party construction firms engaged in construction process 
•Analyze and prepare construction risk assessment for the BCA process
•Engage and develop relationships with parties involved in development phase such as construction firms, developers, partners and external consultants
•Co-responsibility with Technical Asset Manager to lead delivery of GoGreen initiatives as part of the corporate green agenda 
•Analyze complex issues, benchmark, identify opportunities and introduce best practices for construction management focusing on increasing effectiveness and efficiency

Your profile should look like: 
•Conversant with all facets of property development process and management
•More than 10 years of work experience in industrial / logistic development 
•Experience in managing land owners, authorities, consultants and contractors in multi-million euros projects
•Familiar with all relevant regulations pertaining to property development in Sweden but also understanding for challenges in the other Nordic and Baltic countries 
•Familiar with construction budget management 
•Fluent in English – both written and spoken. Ability in other Nordic languages  will be added advantage
•Capable in effective group presentations
•Relevant experience in development projects in Sweden is required, other regional markets of the Nordic and Baltic region an advantage.
•Competence in project management software such as MS Project, etc. Competence in ACAD is an advantage
•International experience/cultural sensitivity. Willingness to travel regularly to project sites across the Nordics / Baltics region and to Europe when necessary
•Ability to direct internal and external resources to accomplish complex tasks
•Higher Degree level in relevant discipline (Business/Real Estate/Engineering / Quantity Surveyor / Architectural). Quality surveyor accreditation and MBA is an advantage.
