Operations Excellence Manager
We are currently seeking an Operation Excellence Manager to join DHL eCommerce Solutions based in Puchong, Malaysia!
The Operation Excellence Manager will be responsible to design and lead all operational efficiency and productivity improvement initiatives to ensure regular cost improvement and quality targets. The role is to manage overall operations safety including hubs, depots and on-road drivers as per the global DHL standards and local government regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Design and implement best in class processes and practices within operations to ensure process optimization and cost reduction for the organization
Continuously review existing network, work practices and process flows within operations to identify improvement opportunities
Develop and promote different productivity models within operations and support in the establishment of operations productivity targets for the organization
Identify, champion, develop and coordinate programs in the areas of Pick Up and Delivery, Depotsand central Hub Optimization
Monitor key performance metrics for operations ( Delivery performance, transit times, Network Service Levels OCPM/OCPK, PUDO ( pickup & delivery optimizations etc) and formulate programs to improve the same, identify any exceptional performances(good or bad) in service quality
Conduct periodic internal quality audits, identify non-conformance and follow-up for closures
Provide proper training to the Operations team topic related to HSE and Service Quality
Train the Central and local teams on safety aspects in different areas of work.
To oversee resource usage in depots and central terminal
Provide direction, guidance and support to subordinates to help them discharge their duties effectively
Monitor the performance of subordinates on a continuous basis to identify key performers and mentor and coach them effectively
Desired Skills / Qualifications
4 – 8 years’ work experience, with at least 2 to 4 years within a large MNC.
At least 3 years project management and business processes improvement.
At least 2 years consulting / professional services experience, preferably in a similar role like Six Sigma Black/Green Belts. Certified Black Belt will be preferred.
A track record of been results focus, strong influencing skills and tenacity in driving processes quality.
A track record of training activities have been involved / conducted is preferred.
DMAIC training experience will be preferred but not mandatory.
Good command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Melayu.
Minimum Educational Qualification
Six Sigma - Green or Black Belt certification will be preferred.
