Delivery Manager

We are currently seeking a Delivery Manager to join DHL eCommerce Malaysia!

The Delivery Manager will manage, develop, and control the transport delivery service at depots, providing high quality delivery service to achieve customer’s targets and team success. The incumbent will also continually develop productivity and quality improvement programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Operational Management

• Oversee all pick up vehicle functions/operations used for delivery

• Establish the scheduling and allocation of transport pick up plans with impact on service level agreements and operation cost

• Review operational costs and management for budgeting

• Plan and manage preventive management: to update and review at the time situation and to evaluate significant impact to KPI and cost control

• Provide analysis and KPI reporting on core activities and administrative support for the transportation issues

• To closely communicate and negotiate with customers and stakeholders to meet operational success

  
  

Process Management

• Manage safety in workplace andoperate own fleet under safety regulation and targets

• Control and monitor all transportation activities to fulfill customer’s requirements

• Optimize fleet utilization with volume

• Support to select, supervise and monitor transport subcontractors andsuppliers

• Make contingency plans and decisions to maintain uninterrupted service when needed

People Management

• Provide direction, guidance and support to team, identifying training needs to develop employees

• Coach and mentor, motivating the team to achieve targets

• Manage team of drivers to deliver quality and quantity in compliance with company’s rules and regulations

Desired Skills / Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in logistics and transport management or related fields preferred

• Excellent analytical skills

• Preferably someone with process improvement experience

• Good communication skills (English and Bahasa Melayu), written and spoken

• Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask and prioritize under pressure

• Ability to manage teams and communicate effectively

• Good MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Minimum Educational Qualification

• Degree in relevant discipline
