TMS Specialist (m/f/d)

DHL Supply Chain MLEMEA selected best-in-class IT products in the transport domain (e.g. OTM, Plato, Transact, Zeno) to satisfy customer and business needs. The TMS Specialist implements, tests and supports integrated TMS Solutions (sets of IT TMS Products) for our MLEMEA transport business.
The emphasis of this role is to analyze business requirements and configure, develop and test integrated TMS solutions accordingly. Prior to go-live the TMS Specialist will assist in training users ("train the trainer" concept). The role may also involve supporting certain TMS solutions, although in general support is taken care of by internal and external suppliers. In addition, the TMS Specialist is an active contributor to digitalization and modernization of the solution landscape by proactively searching for and suggestion IT-related innovations.
1. Support regional TMS roadmap
·Understand business requirements for regional TMS solutions and support TMS Solution Manager in the creation of the regional TMS roadmap
·Act as go-to expert for medium to complex technical questions on TMS solutions
·Work out, in detail, improvements to existing TMS solutions
·Support new and existing business in the adoption of regional TMS solutions through product/solution demos
2. Analyse and translate TMS requirements
·Understand transport processes and business requirements in all their details
·Support, with technical expertise, the TMS Solution Manager in designing integrated TMS solutions
·Document the TMS solutions
·Explain technical details of TMS solutions to a non-technical audience
3. Implement TMS solutions
·Configure and develop the TMS solutions including different product components (OTM, Plato, Transact, Zeno, integration)
·Work closely together with suppliers to get the agreed deliverables including developments from application developers
·Create and execute (non-UAT) tests; document and communicate results to the project/workstream leaders and TMS Solution Manager
·Accept (and challenge, where required) supplier deliverables
4. Prepare for and support “go-live”
·(Support) data collection activities
·Check collected data and execute data conversion
·Train operational (key) users in the use of the IT solution
·Support business during “go-live”
·Document delivered solution as part of project closure activities
5. Hypercare and support activities
·Provide configuration and data support (L1/L2 application support) during hypercare in case of production issue
Support, on an exceptional basis, solutions in runtime (although generally supported through separate L2/L3 teams)"
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
·Minimum 3 years experience with the setup of TMS solutions
·Bachelor/Master's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or relevant education and work experience in supply chain and/or transportation
·Good knowledge of and insight in E2E supply chain management
·Experience with transport business models at DHL Supply Chain or any of the other DPDHL entities is highly recommended"
·Detailed and demonstrated knowledge of transport processes and the ability to translate processes into system requirements
·Demonstrated technical expertise in configuration, development, testing and training of at least one TMS is a must
·Experience with one of the DSC MLEMEA TMS components (OTM, Plato, Transact, Zeno) is preferred
·Experience with traditional and agile project delivery methodologies
·Strong analytical skills
·Pragmatic mindset. Solutions must work in real world, not only in a theoretical scenario
·Ability to manage own and outsourced work in an organized and methodical way, maintaining accurate records and reporting progress
·Strong ability to train colleagues in the system
·Ability to help colleagues with specific expertise and to coach on content and skills (buddy principle)
·Ability to influence and drive projects and solutions, emphasizing best practices, high quality and high efficient results"
·Travel across Mainland Europe, Middle East & Africa may be required (depending on project)
·Ability to work in a high-pressure demanding environment"
·Certification in strategic TMS products (e.g. OTM) is a strong advantage
·Familiar with business analysis. BABOK certification is an advantage
·Experience with (agile) project delivery is highly recommended
