About the role:

The position of Manager of Team will manage a Solution Delivery team, responsible for team administration, motivation, coaching & personal development, work quality & project staffing.  He/she will work in collaboration with BPB & PdS teams in business development and capacity planning, will evolve focus of team skills and capabilities to most effectively respond to changing BU IT business requirements and will deliver specific expertise to projects as part of a project team (this may include hands-on roles with personal responsibility for project delivery).

Your work:

  •  Manages a Software Development team ensuring effective use of standard IT Services tools to deliver consistent product quality and usability

  •  Identifies  where IT services & applications can add measurable business benefits (e.g. time to market, quality, total cost of ownership), and propose ways to deliver optimization

  •  Responsible for input to internal bids up to €1m in value

  •  Successful delivery of customer projects and work packages that meet business requirements 

  •  Works with other areas of IT Services, business project management functions and external customers

  •  Interacts within project teams, Account Managers to promote and assess opportunities for 

  •  Ensures project delivery in accordance with the pre-determined scope, time, budget and quality through precise planning and organization, and effective management, coordination and monitoring of all project resources and activities

  •  Deals with an environment of fast turn-around projects, dealing with requests for changes to scope and design of solution

  •  Coordinates technical resources outside the team, in order to deliver critical customer projects on time

You should have:

  •  Previous experience minimum 8 years IT and/or logistics industry experience (senior development, project management or business application support role) 

  •  Minimum 5 years in managing multiple teams of people

  •  Ideally Certified PM (Prince2/PMBOK/DePICT)

  •  Leadership & Stakeholder management skills

  •  Strong communication, organizational and presentation skills

  •  Finance planning / budgeting skill

  •  Excellent negotiator and influencer

  •  Open to learn

  •  Strong believer in data
