Facility Managment Coordinator
DHL is hiring a professional with a degree in Industrial Engineering to join our Facilities Management team. This position is at our Regional office in Plantation, Florida. If you have a passion for real estate and technology you will love your job!
In your day-to-day role, you will:
Perform a variety of skilled duties in: IT, Mailroom delivery and pickup, trips to the post office, Customer Service Center duties, conference room Audio/Visual issues, phone room and switches issues, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, painting, cement masonry, and dry wall in order to maintain, repair and remodel facilities.
You will be handling the work of specialty vendors and will work under limited supervision. This is a full time position with normal working days from Monday through Friday, requiring periodic on-call availability for emergency situations.
Submit service requests with established vendors within scope of services. Coordinates mailroom, receptionist duties, and facilities-related activities daily; Maintain and repair facilities/preventative maintenance; Develop and maintain facilities services database; Security, Equipment maintenance, Update facility floor plans, Supervise office services staff; work scheduling, work coordination, mentor and performance evaluation
Emergency lock boxes, Subtenant accounting, Ensure Landlord follows requirements of the lease related to its maintenance/management obligations Handle broad range of CRE work – some admin, but sometimes sophisticated and non-routine requiring more background research, e.g. compliance, budget guidance
Working together, we have responsibility for specific business area/ team or service; Ensure delivery of own service for own area to set standards, targets and schedules. We encourage and support open and direct communications within the team and with others; Knowledgeable in main products, services and business processes of their key business and basic knowledge of all other divisions
Work independently making their own decisions when it comes to typical tasks or issues; Establish relationships. Understands customer and project sponsor interests and concerns. Understands the concerns and needs of the person you are taking care of
Use a change management methodology (ACT). Project planning to ensure smooth operational delivery.
Your background will include:
- University Degree in Industrial Engineering required; 1+ years’ experience in a corporate setting required and Spanish language would be plus
- Ability to deal optimally with people both internally and externally; Detail oriented with good follow-up skills; Customer service; Good sense of logic and problem solving skills.
- Technically proficient with office environments and related equipment, particularly phones, video conferencing and switches.
