Chief Financial Officer (DHL Supply Chain)
To provide financial and business advice as part of the management team to support strategic organization decisions and investments in addition to effectively manage the Finance & Controlling function to provide financial reporting, budgeting, cost analysis and credit control services for the organization.
To liaise with internal and external auditors to ensure an accurate and timely audit.
To liaise with all business entities in producing month end statements.
To provide financial and tax consultancy / advice to drive strategic investment decisions.
To provide financial management input or expertise for cross – functional projects as required
To liaise with Company Secretary on all company’s statutory matters.
To manage the company’s relationship with banks.
To build effective relationships to enhance the company’s business and statutory reputation within the local legal framework.
To provide support during the audit processes through external auditors.
To ensure the timely submission of monthly, quarterly and annual reports to RO and local regulatory bodies.
To undertake all CREST and other DPDHL reporting.
To ensure that the annual audited financial statements comply with FRS and local accounting and auditing standards.
To ensure implementation of audit recommendations from internal and external auditors and compliance with all global and regional network procedures and policies in the financial area.
To ensure timely consolidation of financial reporting for the business sites.
To monitor and check monthly financial reports for reasonableness and any discrepancies.
To ensure liquidity is sufficient to pay debts when due, and ensure that employees and suppliers can be paid in accordance with relevant deadlines.
To ensure timely submission and renewal of banking facilities.
To assist in credit control and evaluation.
To ensure the financial processes comply with regional standards and that any deviations are adequately substantiated.
To ensure financial systems, policies and procedures are effective and efficient.
To constantly review and improve financial practices, procedures, processes and policies.
Planning and Budgeting
Annual budgeting and strategic planning process ensuring that a comprehensive and accurate plan is completed for submission, including detailed plans for individual departments / warehouse sites / customer.
To participate in the evaluation of business expansion programs, and preparation of Capital Acquisition / Expenditure Application in compliance with Investment Approval Procedures.
To review and implement cost control measures within the business unit.
To develop and implement financial KPIs.
To undertake regular ad-hoc projects on implementation of new regional tools and processes.
To develop, implement, maintain and constantly review improve financial controls within the operations in order to attain accurate and complete information to enhance management reporting.
To develop a high performance service culture within the Finance Team.
To plan, organize and direct an efficient and effective Financial Reporting team.
To develop IKOs / KPIs with team members and monitor individual performance.
To manage the allocation of appropriate resources and commitment of staff to the achievement of team’s objectives and targets.
To identify training needs and opportunities to develop a highly skilled Finance team.
