Our team is a part of the Global Business Service, Insurance and Risk Management, an organization within Mainland Europe that supports all DHL units with claims handling. We have focus on the claims handling of carriers liability and cargo insurance for our Nordic DHL units.

Your primary place of work will be at the DHL Global Forwarding’s office at Kirstinehøj, Kastrup.
The main responsibilities in the job
You’ll get responsibility for your own tasks and areas, which includes both the claims handling, as well as the responsibility to ensure the best practice.
• Claims handling of carrier liability claims and cargo insurance claims on behalf of DHL and our insurance company.
• Reporting of claims to our insurance company and internally in DHL.
• Assist in the development of internal processes for optimal and correct claims handling service
• Ensure our goals in accordance with our agreed KPIs
• Ensure professional handling of the claims and provide competent advice to the company's business areas.
You as a person
For this position, we are looking for someone who has a few years of experience within
Same field, newly educated freight forwarder, or has a relevant newly legal education.
As the KPI’s in this business are razor-sharp, we hope, that you have a structured approach to your tasks, that you work solution-oriented, and you are used to prioritizing the many tasks within claims handling. You thrive on the quality of your work, and see service and customer contacts as a natural part of your tasks.

From a competency point of view, we expect you to
- Have a few years of experience from a similar position - for example from an insurance company, with a freight forwarder or legal entity.
- have experience with standard terms and conditions within legislation of the transport area, etc.
- You are fluent in spoken / written Danish and English and have an understanding of Nordic languages.
- You work responsibly, detail-oriented and with an analytical focus.
- You work with and accept implemented procedures in order to have same understanding of claims handling within the team Nordic

The position is a full-time position, eg. 37 hours a week excl. lunch break. The work schedule is planned within normal work hours, eg. between 08 AM – 5 PM Monday to Friday
The compensation package is determined by the qualifications and competencies you hold.
