Who are we?

The new department 602 Finance Systems Transformation is responsible for overall program governance & execution of the SHAPE+ Program, a cross-divisional Finance ERP Platform transformation program, reporting to our Group CFO. SHAPE+ aims at driving standardization and automation of core Accounting and Cost Accounting processes as well as master data management for Post & Parcel, DHL Express, DHL eCommerce & Group Functions through the implementation of a new Finance ERP platform with respective system consolidations.
Our vision is to have the most advanced, most efficient and innovative Finance ERP platform established that supports capabilities like continuous accounting as well as real-time data processing & analytics.

As Lead Functional ERP Platform Designer, what are your tasks and how can you be a differentiating success factor for our team?

With your extensive Finance Transformation and SAP FI/CO implementation background and your execution mentality, you play a crucial part in setting standards for our S/4HANA core implementation and configuration, outlining design principles and quality assurance measurements for our team and our implementation partners. 

Along our journey you support in challenging situations, steering and guiding the interdisciplinary process & ERP teams and help our team achieving expected results. 

Next to these activities, you contribute as a Functional ERP Platform Designer to the overall implementation:

Our process teams define the harmonized Accounting processes, be the trusted advisor when it comes to the best ERP implementation, discuss at eye level with the SMEs & business colleagues. Your expertise and advanced communication & stakeholder mgmt. skills are key here.  

Translate these business & process requirements into technical solutions and either configure the ERP system respectively or steer our implementation partners and ensure top-notch quality in an agile manner. Here, your strong analytical and conceptual skills will be visible.  

The first step is always the hardest, we need your high level of enthusiasm and ability to work under pressure. 

Our new ERP platform will be cutting-edge, with your drive for continuous improvement & innovation you make sure, that in your area of expertise, we stay ahead. 

Modules & areas that we still need to cover with outstanding expertise & experience:  
S/4HANA Finance (RTR, PTP, OTC) including functional modules (e.g. Advanced Financial Closing, Receivables Mgmt.)
S/4HANA Controlling/Cost Accounting
S/4HANA Master Data Governance
S/4HANA Central Finance
S/4HANA Cloud Platform Extension & Integration

Additionally welcomed? Experience in process modeling (BPMN2.0) and data modeling (e.g. UML) as well as in SOA & microservices. Good knowledge in ABAP and preferably in Java or Javascript as well as integration web services (REST/SOAP/ODATA). Certified project management professional with a profound experience in agile methods. 

A must? University Degree in Business Informatics (or similar), superior English skills (German a plus) and relocating to the Bonn/Cologne area if necessary.
