TMS Solution Manager (m/f/d)

The TMS Solution Manager drives the design, implementation and release of IT Solutions (set of IT Products) for our MLEMEA transport business. DHL Supply Chain MLEMEA selected best-in-class IT products in the transport domain (e.g. OTM, Plato, Transact, Zeno) to satisfy customer and business needs and the TMS Solution Manager intelligently combines selected products into an integrated solution that emphasizes the peculiarity and strengths of each product, covering all business needs. The TMS Solution Manager also has the duty to ensure implemented solutions respect the OPS and IT standardization principles set by the company and must support projects to achieve standardization targets, when achievable. The TMS Solution Manager also maintains relationships with internal (e.g. CoE) and external (e.g. OPSI) partners and vendors, and drives region-wide rollout and upgrade initiatives from IT side.
1. Design and maintain regional TMS roadmap
·Build solid working relationships with regional and local business stakeholders and understand transport business requirements in the region
·Design efficient, multi-purpose and integrated TMS solutions for the region based on business requirements
·Maintain, in close collaboration with business stakeholders, the TMS product/solution roadmap detailing new functionality and features to be added to the regional TMS
·Ensure the business stakeholder community is aware of the regional TMS roadmap and solution offering, and stimulate its adoption
·Support BD and business in ""selling"" implementable, cost effective and efficient transport solutions
2. Own the implementation of TMS solutions
·Work with business stakeholders and coach (internal and external) TMS Specialists on the collection of customer/business requirements
·Design, with the support of technically experienced TMS Specialists, the TMS solution that will be implemented for a specific site/customer, based on regional standards
·Supervise, from IT perspective, the delivery of the TMS solution by the different internal and external partners (TMS Specialists, OTM CoE, suppliers, DHL Link)
·Guarantee adherence to the regional standardization programs, promote standardization; work towards proactive versus reactive solution implementation
·Work with the Regional TMS Change Advisory Board to log any project deviation, identify any alternative standard solution to the problem and stimulate standard enhancement in case a solution is not identified
3. Own TMS solutions in runtime
·Remain aligned with running operations to monitor the usage and satisfaction level of the operations with the implemented solution, and include feedback in regional TMS roadmap
·Drive region-wide rollout and upgrade initiatives (e.g. migration to OTM 6.4.3) in close alignment with the global, regional and local stakeholders
4. Own TMS supplier management
·Maintains relationships with internal (e.g. CoE) and external (e.g. OPSI) partners and vendors
Drive, where required, commercial negotiations with partners and follow up supplier performance and financials in regular SRMs"
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
·Minimum 5 years experience with design and implementation of logistics IT systems, in particular TMS as well as Minimum 5 years of exposure to transport operations in either an IT or a conceptual business role, demonstrated by a detailed knowledge of transport processes
·Master's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or relevant education and work experience in supply chain and/or logistics
·Good knowledge of and insight in E2E supply chain management
·Experience with transport business models at DHL Supply Chain or any of the other DPDHL entities is highly recommended
·Expert in one or more TMS systems is highly recommended (e.g. OTM)
·Very good knowledge of business requirements analysis, system architecture and IT deployment concepts
·Strong analytical skills
·Pragmatic mindset. solutions must work in real world, not only in a theoretical scenario
·Excellent stakeholder management skills, including customer, business and supplier management
·Ability to manage own and outsourced work in an organized and methodical way, maintaining accurate records and reporting progress
·Ability to train colleagues in the system
·Ability to help colleagues with specific expertise and to coach on content and skills (buddy principle)
·Ability to influence and drive projects and solutions, emphasizing best practices, high quality and high efficient results"
·Travel across Mainland Europe, Middle East & Africa may be required (depending on project)
·Ability to work in a high-pressure demanding environment"
·Familiar with business analysis. BABOK certification is an advantage
·Familiar with project management. Prince2 or Depict certification is an advantage
Experience with (agile) project delivery is highly recommended
