Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and discuss operation's overall performance, based on the standard Management Review Process (MRP), with Operations Manager
  • Conduct a Critical Analysis Meeting, discussing the operation's overall performance with the operations manager and Second Line Leadership, based on the Performance Scorecard to enable the entire operational team to carry out their activities, understanding which actions are needed to improve their performance
  • Conduct Performance Management Meetings with operations manager(s) to review performance KPIs, actions set on Critical Analysis Meetings and to gather information to MRP
  • Track Total Injury Frequency Rate of your site and understand deviations
  • Discuss and approve improvement actions that involve customer requirements and SLA's, additional resources and financial investments with the operations managers
  • Support the team during the implementation of improvement actions by providing any necessary resources and investments
  • Promote the continuous improvement culture and sustainability of the program with operations managers and their teams
  • Track Continuous Improvement Financial Benefits of your site
  • Approve Recognition Program activities and involve financial team if necessaryApprove Recognition Program activities and involve financial team if necessary
  • Participate in a Monthly Results Meeting with the entire leadership team and employees, presenting the site's results, priorities and promoting engagement within the team
  • Promote at wellness culture within the site, providing necessary resources, participating in the initiatives set and involving the customer where applicable
  • Control your operational processes (inbound, picking, outbound, etc), fulfilling service level agreeded and deadlines established - Weekly, per Process
  • Lead by example to reinforce behaviors associated with our culture (eg. Respect & Results, Continuous Improvement, Employee Engagement)
  • Provide leadership for the site in assessing potential, developing talent and succession planning
  • Responsibility for recruiting and developing direct reports and managing performance within local guidelines
  • Responsible for partnering with local HR Business Partner regarding any employee/industrial relations matters e.g. unions, works councils etc
  • Ensure adequate security measures are in place to protect the site premises, including the safety of personnel, DSC assets and of the customer's product
  • Ensure an effective deployment of The DSC 6 Steps security framework across the site
  • Involve customers and employees in these activities to ensure awareness of all relevant risks, and an effective response to all threats is implemented in the site
  • Maintain processes and required statutory qualifications to ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and local legal obligations
  • Ensure the appropriate communication, understanding and compliance with all relevant DPDHL policies takes place
  • Review practices against the requirements of legal compliance regularly and implement a formal process to address any issues
  • Conduct regular reviews (e.g. monthly) with customer on operational performance and delivery against the agreed KPIs.
  • Identify and propose opportunities to grow the business with existing customers
  • Support Business Development / Account Management on contractual and commercial issues and customer renewal planning.
  • Ensure the Customer Satisfaction Survey for the site takes place as scheduled. Define, agree and implement relevant actions to close gaps that have been identified.
  • Support development of customer joint business plan and ensure execution of plan

Requirements:

  • Experience in other divisions, is an advantage
  • Previous experience in managing an Operations/Warehouse
  • Customer experience, is an advantage
  • Intermediate educational level
  • All Licenses and trainings operating on that site or area(i.e. LSHC requirements,sector or dangerous goods, etc)
