DHL Express Global Head Office has an opening for Program Manager, based in Malaysia or Singapore. The role purpose is to:
·Plan, lead and manage the Business Event Management program (involving multiple concurrent linked projects) producing results which are capable of achieving the benefits defined in the business cases.
·Lead and coordinate the program’s projects and management of their inter-dependencies including oversight of any risks and issues arising. It also includes the delivery of the new capability for the business to enable effective change and realization of projected benefits.
·Work across functions with personnel of different cultures and have the ability to manage virtual teams. Programs by definition manage multiple concurrent projects.
This leadership role requires a strong ability to facilitate project alignment to ensure delivery of migration to the target business event platform and standards, enabling enhanced visibility of DHL Express Events including Checkpoints. DHL Express systems and processes create 60 – 70 million business events (including checkpoints) per day. Business events are the foundation for DHL Express tracking and reporting capabilities.
·Lead the alignment across business functions for new/changed business capability and processes.
·Maintain relationships with external vendors and ensure that solutions are developed to DHL’s specification and internal standards.
·Delivery of the Programs solutions on time, within budget and to quality specification.
·Develop and maintain relationships with key business leaders and business program management across the organization.
·Regular Interaction with senior personnel on issues that may require coordination across business units.
·Drive the design, development and deployment of new process solutions related to the Program.
·Freedom to act within the bounds as set by the Program Board and Sponsor.
·Anticipate new and evolving technologies and assess their impact of process and systems.
·Assess the impacts (process, organization, system, dependency, priority) associated with the change and work to ensure seamless implementation of the change.
·Drive alignment of business process, standards and EGAP solutions across Functions, Regionals and Countries.
·Recommend and champion process change and continuous improvement.
·Provide input and recommendations to i) Functional Executive Committees, ii) Internal process and standards boards (i.e. Functional Global SOP), iii) Program & Project boards as required.
·Ensure that training is available to support the process and solutions developed by the team.
·Build, direct and motivate the Program team to ensure that the Program goals are met on time, within budget.
·Supervise, coordinate, lead and review the planning and execution of Projects within the Program.
·Identify training needs and skills shortfalls and ensure improved understanding of standard business process as a discipline.
·Develop a culture of quality, service excellence, flexibility and cost consciousness.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
·Minimum of 10 to 12 years’ experience with at least 5 years in a Senior Project Manager or Business Analyst role.
·Successful andproven track record ofpractical experience in project management, which was gained through managing large and complex projects;
·Proven knowledge and handling of project and program management methodology and techniques;
·Established background in business and IT program management and analysis;
·Strong understanding of the wider objectives of the program;
·Ability to work positively with the wide range of individuals involved in program management;
·Strong leadership, organisation and management skills;
·Good knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures;
·Ability to manage change in a high pressure environment;
·Very strong analytical thinking, systems thinking and problem solving skills with a proven ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems;
·Energetic, enthusiastic, results-oriented; capable of adding significant value to the existing management team and successfully implementing their ideas/concepts;
·Ability to simplify complex ideas and concepts in a way non-technical people can understand
·Ideally a comprehensive knowledge of the DHL Express Network with a good understanding of logistics and transportation within the Express industry;
·Global experience and teaming that has delivered world class results.
·University Degree or equivalent
·Professional qualification/certification in Program or Project Management
