Job Title:  Route Development Manager, Trans-Atlantic Trade Lane
Job Location: Southeast Region, USA

We have an exciting opportunity for a ROUTE DEVELOPMENT MANAGER  to drive revenue growth by strategic customer focused selling of all of our client’s products and services within the Trans-Atlantic trade lanes. This position will be based in the Southeast Region

Key Responsibilities:

·Analyze the OFR FCL and LCL market at country level, determine DHL market share and help establish a Route Development strategy for the Trans-Atlantic ocean route in order to achieve targeted and profitable volume growth

·Provide input to Trade management and OFR Product on local market & capacity development and manage implementation of rate programs on the Trans-Atlantic ocean route

·Drive business development activities for High Value Targets, select CT led RFQs with strategic importance for his/her routes and work with stakeholders to get the right pricing solution

·Support and/ or execute procurement for specific named Accounts at CT level, for specifically designed and priced solutions

·Create written strategic action plans for customer management and expansion

·Establish customer contact and rapport to maintain awareness of customer's business objectives in conjunction with ongoing account maintenance. Interact with Field Sales, Global Sales, and Vertical Market teams to create opportunities/solutions for new or existing customers

·Prepare client approach plans presentation materials

·Will coordinate complete sales cycle process including prospect list initiation, lead generation, prospect qualification, analysis, RFQs, pricing, proposal preparation and presentation(s), Challenge is to increase revenues and maximize profitability.

·The goal is to be the subject matter expert for the ocean product in the country with the challenge to increase growth & volume of the Trans-Atlantic product.

·Review, analyze and maintain management reports on Trade Lane volumes and yield performance.

·Develop and implement sales campaigns to take advantage of market opportunities.

Skills / Requirements:

·5-7 Years freight forwarding experience, ideally in ocean freight and International business relationships.

·Previous experience with Trans-Atlantic ocean trade route

·Ability to manage various projects/tasks across cross-functional teams

·High degree of organizational, administrative and communication skill

·Strong entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work autonomously

·Knowledge of trade lane cultures & habits

·Hunter (and farmer) mentality

·Executive level presentation skills to C-level, VP’s and Directors

·Motivate sales team in a collaborative style

·Proven tenacity to close
