Support solution & technical assessment, design and management of the Transport IT solutions
Creation of platform standards for specific products that are deployed through a shared CoE platform
Review customer solutions againstshared platform standards with both internal and external build partners
Review and approve technical design associated with the templates/frameworks during the transition into testing and before final promotion to production during solution design phase
Review, in conjunction with AMS the implementation of technical product roadmaps to ensure solution complies with DHL technical and security standards
Analyze emerging technologies and make recommendations for adaptation
Updates the technology stack based on changing technologies, and knowledge related to vendor products and solutions
Analyze and asses new versions of currently use technologies to provide guidance in use of new features for business purposes.
The role covers all aspects of transport functionality: Order Management, Warehouse Management, Order Planning & Execution, Supply Chain Visibility and Event Management, Inventory Visibility and Freight Bill Audit & Payments whether delivered with the core transport solution or ancillary solutions
Supports the designs for projects and/or review architectural or engineering plans
write specifications and contract documents to ensure compliance with standards, laws and regulations.
Advises BUILD and AMS partner on the interpretation of standards, recommends changes when necessary.
Prepares and/or review preliminary designs, working drawings, specifications and cost estimates related to customer project.
Provides technical expertise in development or review of policies and procedures in relation to architectural structures and systems and construction/safety codes.
Works with customers to gather facts and defines technical designs
Advises the development oftemplates/frameworks, ensuring we leverage templates, design and materials
Develop and manage the A2A integration principles and work closely with DHL-Link to ensure that we maximize reuse and standardize integration between key solution components
Support the CoE service delivery team in the design, implementation and run of platform performance testing & capacity planning
Manage the implementation ofIT project solution work packages in line with the DHL DePict methodology. Design, implement and project manage system improvements and updates.
ManageIT development work packages in line with the requirements. Ensure any development is delivered in accordance to standards and best practices
Build effective relationships and maintain close liaison with business and IT by maintaining regular contact through the full project lifecycle
Build working relationships with customers and business
Maintain working relationships with IT suppliers
Maintain relationships with the product management, project delivery and service management community
Develop strong relationships with implementation and IT support teams
Collation and distribution of information, where assigned, required for IT systems implementation.
Hands on development / configuration of transport solutions e.g. OTM, Kewill, Microlise
Development of test scenarios and scripts.
Perform IT testing and support user acceptance testing.
Document user training to internal and customer teams
Management of virtual project teams (internal and external)
Good DSC business understanding
Proven understanding of transportation industry requirements
Understanding of Transport templates and frameworks e.g. LLP, GMTT
Ability to communicate clearly to a varied audience (internal and external) in non-technical terms.
Works with subordinates, peers, and/or supervisors to jointly set challenging but realistic objectives and action plans in accordance with organizational goals

Exceptional knowledge of the Transport products especially Oracle OTM product, both at an application architecture level and good understanding of the functional capabilities
Able to manage/ support all phases of the system life cycle with customers, analysts and developers for custom and package application services
Able to act as technology consultant to support the development of templates, ensuring we leverage templates, design and materials
Able to collate, document and communicate product roadmaps.
Develop and manage technical product roadmaps to ensure solution complies with DHL technical and security standards
Structuring and solving customer requirements using Templates & Frameworks as well as generic product functionality
Leading transport work packages or change requests with in-house or external consultants
Good understanding of transportation customer requirements and good technical understanding of solution capabilities e.g. OTM, Kewill
General understanding of transport related ancillary systems and B2B integrated e.g. HERE, TRANSPOREON, Centiro
General understanding of other DHL systems, and integrated LLP Framework Systems as required.
Contributes to proposal submissions and business development initiatives under the direction of the Leadership team
Participates and coordinates in workshops & events
Preparation of solution design proposals from a commercial as well as a technical perspective.
Advising / consulting to external customers.
Coordinate, direct and oversee work package delivered by Specialists and/or suppliers
