DHL Express Global Head Office has an opening for Business Solution Manager in the Global Business IT function. The key purpose of this role is to:
·Manage several applications/products/services as part of the Pricing domain’s portfolio, including build and run elements to support optimum functioning of the business functions.
·Drive delivery of concurrent programmes/projects within the domain with initial focus on the cross-functional MANGO program.
Project Team Management
·Work with Pricing function to understand needs, priorities and issues to plan the associated IT roadmaps.
·Accountable that projects are delivered to agreed time, cost, quality and governance.
·Ownership and resolution of issues reported on systems in production to ensure minimum business disruption.
·Manage external/internal IT resources engaged during the execution of a project.
·Work with business functions to clarify requirements, set the scope and see through until delivery, leads requirements gathering workshops and requirements document review.
·Work directly with DHL customers, suppliers or internal staff (at global/regional/functional levels).
·Participate in Global project teams based on role and involvement.
·Act as Business IT lead for global projects with full responsibility on the delivery side of the IT component.
·Contribute to the domain roadmaps.
·Provide regular reports of progress towards meeting project deliverables.
·Lead, manage and monitor the direct and indirect project team members for the duration of the project.
Technology, Touchpoint, People and Processes
·Own the alignment between the project delivery and the EGAP direction.
·Provide input on new technologies, processes and methodologies improvements.
·Build an effective relationship with internal and external stakeholders.
Application and Deployment Coverage Scope
·Able to manage multiple deployment concurrently.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
·Minimum 10 years of multi-disciplined IT experience including :
·Experience in managing large-scale development and/or deployment projects.
·Minimum 5 years of experience in a multi-national enterprise, preferably within the logistics or transportation sector.
·Technical skills or knowledge of design and development tools (Java, C++, relational databases).
·Framework - ASP.NET/Microsoft .NET, Java, Nhibernate, Windows Workflow/ Communications Foundation, Angular, PL/SQL, Shell Script.
·Backend – Microsoft SQL Server, Windows IIS, Websphere MQ.
·Reporting – Jasper Reports, Crystal Reports, COGNOS.
·Integration – SoftwareAG BAM/BPM, Mapforce, FICO.
·IT solutions development and implementation experience – proven track record for managing and delivering complex IT solutions.
·Process knowledge: Solid understanding of Global Pricing processes and metrics supporting the business.
·Get-it-done attitude: Capable to break through organisational silos; Manage and achieve goals in a matrix environment; Quick to adopt best practice rather than re-invent the wheel.
·Excellent written and verbal communications skills with technical and non-technical senior management.
·Highly customer oriented.
·Ability to team with, and manage, a strong partner/supplier system.
·Strong program and people management skills with capability to work across cultures and borders.
·Strong business process and analytical skills with the ability to assimilate information quickly, and communicate complex requirements and issues clearly and concisely.
·Must be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional cross-geographical teams to analyse and understand business needs.
·Analytical:Synthesize complex or diverse information, challenge and re-validate conclusions.
·Problem Solving: Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; Foresee and communicate potential issues; Developalternativesolutions;Workwellingroup problem solving situations.
·Business Acumen: Understand business implications of data for decisions.
·Advanced University Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or related field or similar experience/education.
·Professional Certification in at least one relevant Project Management Technique (Prince2 or PMI) and IT Service Management Technique (i.e., ITIL).
