We are looking for an

                                Operational Account Manager

Purpose of the job:

As member of the Operational Account team within DHL Supply Chain being the Lead LogisticsPartner (LLP) of IBM SPO to manage the most complex Service Logistics Solutions throughout Europe to ensure that contracted performance targets are met, the service providers follow the agreed SOW and customer satisfaction is continuously at the highest possible levels. Pro-actively provide improvement suggestions to the customer by analysing existing solutions and identifying service and solution enhancement initiatives on an ongoing basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that committed customer key performance indicators are met by the service providers (warehousing and transportation)
  • Support the implementation of large and complex customer solutions from operational point of view
  • Ensure that the service providers are following the agreed processes included in the Warehousing and Transport SOWs
  • Be the 1st level escalation point for customer complaints in regards of supplier performance / supplier issues
  • Manage and prepare scheduled executive business review meetings (Monthly Business Reviews (MBR) & Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) with suppliers as well as with IBM
  • Manage the change request (CMR) process with the customer and internally from entry until finalization. Ensure that the solution provided by the service provider is meeting the requirement of the customer, and also a feasible solution.
  • Drive customer satisfaction by building strong cross-functional partnership and work on solutions and improvement initiatives with the custome
  • Manage escalations and issues raised by the service providers
  • Supports RFQ processes from operational point of view
  • Provide support for billing related escalations of your providers to the responsible LLP function
  • Mentor Control Tower agents if needed, provide expectations and support their professional development


  • Fluent English knowledge is a must
  • Bachelors degree
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics and / or supplier management
  • Customer focus
  • Strong character, ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Good communications skills
  • Negotiation skills
