Your main tasks will be:

·Lead and be recognized as the DPDHL center of excellence for Cost Engineering to develop, maintain and improve knowledge, tools & methodologies.

·Continuously improve the overall system of Cost Engineering in DPDHL and drive the integration of cost engineering methodologies in the DNA of Procurement

·Training of the cost engineering community (train-the-trainer) and ensure the right capability and competence levels for execution in all commodity clusters

·Create awareness and change attitudes among the internal organization and suppliers as for the necessity and possibilities of outcomes to improve cost models and cost transparency

·Take ownership of individual knowledge development and knowledge sharing efforts

·Establish operational objectives and work plans, and delegate assignments to subordinates in a matrix organization

·Drive the development of the Cost Engineering community in DPDHL, define and adhere standards and roadmaps for methodologies and a standardized way of working

·Establish cost transparency and initiate cost reductions

·Determine methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel

Your profile should look like:

·Master degree or comparable diploma in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering

·More than 15 years of global work experience in a comparable position

·Familiar with basic DfX approaches, investment decision making and payback calculations

·Experienced with full DfX workflow and project management approach

·Extremely interested in technical solutions and problem solving in a wide array of industries

·Ability to communicate clearly with different stakeholders and leaders in DPDHL businesses

·Extensive interfacing with technology experts, the creative use of benchmark databases and some educated interpolations

·Experience in working on complex issues to generate an overall cost price

·Leadership skills
