Customer Solutions & Innovation (CSI) is DHL's cross-divisional commercial and innovation unit. We are responsible for managing about 80 of DHL's largest and most strategically important customers providing them with sector expertise, best in class account management and most innovative products & solutions.
The Director Sales Development (m/f/x) acts as business partner towards the CSI Sectors in order tosupport the CSI account teams to grow beyond established conventions and areas of business. The role drives strategic projects in sales digitalization and business development as product owner and project lead in close collaboration with the Sectors and the DPDHL Business Units.
The position is based in Bonn.
•Draft and implement transformational, commercial and digitalization concepts
•Drive respective projects while acting as product owner and applying agile project management tools where it applies
•Define the scope and properties of the project
•Collect and prioritize the stakeholders‘ requirements
•Drive progress together with Analysts and Developers and take on non-technical project tasks
•Inspect the partial and final results in regular reviews
•Communicate the progress and status to the stakeholders
•Manage the launch of end-product along with communication and user training
•Set up of progress report and success tracking
•Work in close collaboration with other functions (i.e. Account Teams, Commercial Operations, Sales Enablement, Sector Development) to identifywhite spots and potential areas of growth
•Drive commercial campaigns and initiatives together with the Sectors and DPDHL Business Units within a global scope
•Communicate the progress and status to the key stakeholders along with setting up the performance reporting
•Develop, roll-out and run training curriculums (e-learnings, web-based and class-room) for the sales population
•Set-up of progress report
•Bachelor Degree/Tertiary Education in related discipline and 7-12 years’ experience in related field or Master Degree and generally 5-10 years’ experience in related field OR equivalent professional experience
•Experience in two or more DPDHL Business Units (5 year minimum) or equivalent external industry experience preferred
•Strong Project Management experience and preferably knowledge of agile processes and tools
•Strong negotiation, presentation,stakeholder management and virtual team management skills
•Experience in working with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)
•Business Acumen and understanding of key financial principles
•Proven understanding and experience of commercial principles and processes
•Excellent communication & interpersonal skills. Experience in working with virtual teams
•Good problem solving skills, analytical and critical thinking
•Excellent English spoken and written, German is a plus
