Operations Manager (RCS J)
Oversees the daily operations of DHL including its various components, ensuring compliance with the company’s policies and regulations.
Develops or assists with the development and implementation of policies and procedures consistent with those of the organization to ensure the efficient and safe operation of the department.
Conducts investigations into problem situations, (e.g. the tracking of missing parcels) assembles pertinent data and arrives at effective solutions.
Applies and interprets policies, rules and regulations of various levels of complexity.
Oversees the supervision of assigned personnel, which includes work allocation, training, and problem resolution.
Evaluates performance and makes recommendations for human resource intervention.
Motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.
Manages the key business indices of the DHL operation e.g. Service Quality Index.
Provides a variety of statistical and workload reports.
Monitors industry surveys and internal statistics to make necessary business adjustments.
Provides advice and assistance to the General Manager.
Represents the organization at various business meetings; promotes existing and new programs and/or policies.
Develops and manages or assists with the annual budgets.
Ensures that vehicular fleet is maintained mechanically and administratively.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by General Manager.
Master’s Degree in a related Administrative, Business, Liberal Arts or Social Science Discipline.
Three to five years experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Working knowledge of computer capabilities and related information systems.
Working knowledge of the rules, regulations and procedures involved in the clearance and delivery of consignments at the Airport.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Strong interpersonal skills.
