The candidate will be part of the Business Development (BD) team, reporting directly to the BU Director and taking care of the commercial development of the Business Unit. Specifically, coordinating the reference team, the Business development Manager will research, identify and analyze strategic customers in order to develop new key contacts for business development in the target market through continuous monitoring of the commercial potential of the Pharma Retail & Medical Devices sector. The candidate will manage the participation in tenders for the acquisition of new customers and the development of the current Customer portfolio. The candidate will relate with the internal Functions that support the sales process (Solution Design, operations, HR, IT, Real Estate, Legal, Finance, etc.) collecting the necessary information to the formulation of the commercial proposal. The Business development Manager will work closely with the client's operational teams for the best definition of the commercial proposal. The candidate will coordinate a team consisting of two resources and will manage a budget and an annual GP target to reach.

Key goals

Specifically, the resource will be responsible for:

  • Exploring new market segments in alignment with the BU Director by defining the BU's commercial strategy in compliance with DHL's commercial guidelines and ensuring the maintenance of the leading position in the target market;

  • Developing and creating new commercial relation with potential strategic customers;
    Maintaining the high quality of the relationship with current customers in order to increase the BU's presence on the market;

  • Enhancing the relations with customers, agencies and institutions to identify the best commercial opportunities and to increase the business performance, the revenue and the profitability of the BU;

  • Coordinating the schedule of the BD team ensuring effective communication to all members of the project team;
    Improving the economic and qualitative results and optimizing the Team organization.


  • Degree: preferably in the economic sector

  • Previous experiences in the SALES area of ​​at least 7-10 years

  • Consolidated knowledge of the Pharma sector

  • 3-5 years relevant managerial experiences in the Pharma sector

  • Knowledge of English: Fluent

  • Strong customer orientation and commercial negotiation skills
