Your role:

  • Responsible for alignment of regional telecoms optimization (xTO) teams in terms of xTO and ITS processes, standards & procedures
  • Report to governance bodies on global level on the progress of initiatives across regions and standards compliance
  • Coordinate across xTO teams to deliver efficiencies that meet or exceed business expectations and committed service levels
  • Track all global, cross-xTO initiatives
  • Govern projects and initiatives on global level and be responsible for business cases
  • Support xTO teams with vendor contract negotiations to drive standardization
  • Collate information from all xTO service reviews, internally and externally
  • Contribute to developing a sourcing strategy, including outsourcing, for the telecoms requirements of DPDHL globally
  • Contribute to establishing a quality and cost based performance and vendor management strategy by collaborating with the management of DPDHL business units, service providers and industry experts
  • Closely cooperate with other ITS teams on new or existing projects in order to achieve optimum performance

Your skills and experience:

  • Comprehensive knowledge (5+ years) of Information Technology and in particular Telecommunications
  • Strong skills in developing concepts, Telecoms strategy, vendor management, IT cost models, data analysis and reporting
  • Proven record in working with third parties on benchmarking and peer comparisons and understanding impact of technology on cost and quality
  • Strong collaboration and partnering skills
  • Strong program/project management skills providing a structured approach to initiatives and activities with the goal of delivering projects on-time and within budget
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to assess customer/client needs, creatively approach solutions,  decide and influence appropriate courses of action
  • Knowledge of ITIL and awareness of Project Management methodologies (e.g.Prince2 or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and standards
  • Proven strong problem solving skills
